Frequently asked questions
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. You can book directly with M.O. Therapy without a referral in Ontario. Some extended health plans ask for a referral before they reimburse, so check your policy if you plan to claim.
Do you direct bill insurance?
Yes. We direct bill most major Canadian extended health insurance providers, so in many cases you only pay any portion your plan doesn’t cover.
Should I see a physiotherapist, chiropractor or RMT for a sports injury?
For most new injuries, start with a physiotherapist or chiropractor for an assessment. Massage therapy is a great addition for recovery and muscle tension. Our team works together, so we will point you to the right practitioner.
Can I keep training while I rehab?
Often, yes. We modify your training rather than stop it wherever it is safe, so you keep your fitness while the injury heals.
